I had to tell the 4100 owners out there about my experience. I purchased my tractor August 1998. I am self-employed and use my tractor everyday. This tractor has run completly flawless for me. I currently have 500 hours on this machine. Mainly the 4100 tractor is used for my landscaping business. This includes mowing, moving dirt with my front end loader and box blade, york raking, brush cutting, post hole digging, and snow removal. In less than two years this 4100 John Deere has paid for itself and my attachments. What a machine!!! One question I do have; Is there a back hoe for my tractor? I have heard about the Woods Backhoe, but has anyone had any real experience with this hoe on a 4100 series? If so how has it performed for you? Thanks,Lakeside Landscaping

Kelley makes a frame mount kit for the jd4100. I have one mounted on a Yanmar ym1702d, which I rent out. It works great. I'm a Kelley dealer & amgiving a 20% dicount on them. I also have available Woods products, but have no personal experience with their backhoe. For more information contact me at sheaftractor@coiinc.com or 815-284-3226. ....
